Jane’s Walk

About the Project:
From 2014 to 2016, Better Block Hawaii offered free, guided walking explorations ("Jane's Walks"), of different neighborhoods in Honolulu, including Thomas Square, Neal S. Blaisdell Center, Ward, McCully area, Civic Center, and the Capitol district. Inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs, the walks encourage people to explore their cities and connect with their communities on foot. The walks also encouraged discussion between the public and local leaders to foster a better understanding of community planning.
