Parklet Demonstrations

About the Project:
Since 2013, Better Block Hawaii has hosted parklet demonstrations in Honolulu as part of PARK(ing) Day, held annually in September. Park(ing) Day was first launched in 2005 in San Francisco. Since then it has spread to over 100 cities across the globe. Every PARK(ing) Day, people repurpose street parking spaces and convert them into tiny parks and places for art, play, and activism.
