About the Project:
Supported by the Kaulunani Community Forestry Grant Program, “Trees for Kalihi” involves working with local partners to install tree planter boxes with attached seating along North King Street and North School Street in the Kalihi neighborhood. This project also includes a public outreach campaign to catalyze a community forestry effort.
Project Goals:
Quick-build, increase urban tree canopy, reduce urban heat, provide public seating amenities, activate the street level
